Mexican Association of Lifestyle Medicine will host its 5th conference themed "Doula" on June 22-24, 2025 in Mexico City, Mexico.
When a patient transforms their habits, they transform their identity. A part of them dies, and a new self is reborn.
The Doula is the one who accompanies. The one who walks alongside the welcomes and the farewells in the process of rebirth.
We who compose the Lifestyle Medicine Movement are the Doula.
The Doula who accompanies the death of ideas, institutions, habits, and identities. The one who also embodies their rebirth.
What are you still waiting to grieve?
• The losses of what you love.
• The current state of chronic disease, which reflects the current state of social and environmental disease.
• What you expected and did not receive.
What part of your identity as a professional are you willing to let die to reinvent your clinical models? What will we do collectively to accompany the redefinition of the health ecosystem? How will we dare to face death by killing the status quo that allows us to survive but not to live?
