Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course
The American College of Lifestyle Medicine is pleased to offer an updated and enhanced Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course, developed by lead authors John Kelly, MD, MPH and Jeni Shull, MD, MPH with active participation from an Editorial Advisory Panel comprised of many of the leading experts in the field of lifestyle medicine and the incorporation of feedback provided by the inaugural board review class.
In this second year, the Lifestyle Medicine Board Review will consist of a Board Review Course Manual, that covers the information which questions are written for the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine certification exam. Dramatically enhanced, this year’s manual will feature an index, a Lifestyle Medicine article appendix, detailed graphics, tables and figures, along with practice questions at the end of each section.
Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine
This one-day masterclass will provide busy GPs, Practice Nurses and Pharmacists with tools to tackle complex presentations with simple yet effective evidence derived lifestyle medicine interventions.

The Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) – formerly Coronary Health Improvement Project – is an affordable, lifestyle enrichment program designed to reduce disease risk factors through the adoption of better health habits and appropriate lifestyle modifications. The goal is to lower blood cholesterol, hypertension, and blood sugar levels and reduce excess weight. This is done by improving dietary choices, enhancing daily exercise, increasing support systems and decreasing stress, thus aiding in preventing and reversing disease.
Lifestyle Medicine Course Syllabus
Lifestyle Medicine Course Syllabus, presented by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, is based on the foundational work of ACLM Board Member Beth Frates, MD, who created the lifestyle medicine course at Harvard Extension School, available to undergraduate, master, and other professional students interest in health and wellness. This course has consistently been one of the most popular courses at Harvard Extension.
Starting with a focus in the health sciences, NextGenU.org now brings over 5 years of uniquely offering courses for credit for free, registrants in over 190 countries, a $16 million endowment, and funders and partners including CDC, Harvard, NATO, Stanford, and WHO.
NextGenU.org is offering an introductory course in Lifestyle Medicine which is intended for primary care physicians and other mid-to-senior-level healthcare professionals in training and in practice. It provides foundational theoretical and practical knowledge and skills as well as an opportunity to plan strategies and practice techniques to assist patients in achieving a positive health behavior change (with locally and globally available peers and mentors). All components of this training (like all NextGenU.org trainings) are free, including registration, learning, testing, and a certificate of completion.

Lifestyle Medicine Core Competencies Program
The Lifestyle Medicine Core Competency Online Program is a CME accredited, evidence-based program designed to provide a comprehensive foundation for doctors as well as nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, health coaches, and other allied health professionals with an interest in learning the basic foundational principles of lifestyle medicine. Maintenance of Certification (MOC) is available for select medical specialties.
